I have Samuel (d. 1857) as being married to Sarah (1777-1840) they had a son named Jesse who was born in 1804 and maybe a son named Washington. Samuel, Sarah, and Jesse are buried in Salem, Forsyth county, NC.
Does anyone know the name of Samuel's parents?
Sarah's maiden name?
Were they originally from Forsyth or did they migrate from somewhere else? Cabarrus? Another state?
I've seen the last name spelled Kenneday, Kenneda, Canneday and Kennedy. They seem to have gone through some growing pains with the name during this time.
I'm stuck at Samuel in my family research and would appreciate any guidance or sharing of information.
