Still unable to determine parentage or POB. Some researchers have him linked with the Alexander Kennedy family of Fairfield or Chester Co, SC. The dates do not work. Our Alexander married Alpha Brown, daughter of William Brown who was killed by Tories in 1780. Some researchers have him living until 1837. He was long deceased. Alpha remarried after the death of Alexander to W. Burrell Parker. Alpha & Alexander had six known children: 1) William married Elizabeth Clayton-several children 2) John Jones Kennedy (my line--stayed in Barnwell Co)married Sarah Clayton, sister of Elizabeth 3) Robert (stayed in Barnwell County)one daughter 4) Sarah married Isaac Enicks- Daughter Mary married Michael B. Kittles, had one son 5) Lucy married Benjamin Owens-have not found any descendants 6) Elizabeth married Mathews - moved to Georgia--many descendents .. Have any male KENNEDYS of Alexander Kennedy had DNA tested to see where our line ties into the Kennedy DNA Project? Must be from William or John Kennedy descendants. The Fairfield Co. Kennedys have been tested.
