I've done a bit more research since I was last here, and I think the old spelling was Kenesei (which my grandmother says translates to "son of Kenes") so possibly the name evolved from Kenes to Kenesei, to Kenesie. Anyway, I realized too that I was in error about my first post. My Kenesie's came to Herminie, PA as well. I'm sure we must be connected somehow because that's just too much of a coincidence. What's your Kenesie line?
