Thanks, Pat. Yes, I've seen the 3 Dec 1812 date all over the place, but I wanted "official" documentation to use for a DAR supplemental. NSDAR requires documentation, not just a reference to what everyone on the internet says. I was very frustrated when the probate clerk told me they didn't have it. Someone somewhere must have seen it, because I have that note specifying that Kendrick was misspelled as Kindrick on it. (Or maybe that was just the way it was transcribed somewhere. I neglected to write down the source of the spelling information.) I will check at the Dallas library for microfilm of Putnam County marriage records, and if they don't have it I'll check with the Morman Family History Center. By the way, I think we have corresponded previously about the Kendricks. I finally overcame my roadblock in that line, and I'm getting around to working on supplementals for James Kendrick and Drury Rogers. There just don't seem to be many records in the earliest 2 generations (James, the patriot, and James, his son)--and not even any grave markers that I know of.
