Would like to find out as much as I can about the following Kendall family for our upcoming work on the Kendalls of Windsor Co. Vt. Dustin Kendall, b. Cavendish (Windsor County) Vermont, 6 Oct., 1806, son of Cephas & Sarah (Phillips) Kendall). He m. 1st ----. He m. 2nd, ca. 1838/9 Joanna Balch Lamb (b. Chester, Vt., 15 Feb., 1809, dau. of John & Lydia (Read) Balch, and widow of Silas Lamb of Pomfret, Vt. who died in Stockbridge, Vt. 14 Oct., 1837.). When the 1840 census was taken, Dustin was head of his household in Lyndon (Caledonia Co) Vt. He had one son under five years old, two sons from five to ten years old, himself and a young boy, (Joanna’s son by her first marriage, Alfred T. Lamb (b. Pomfret, Vt. 14 Dec., 1835). living with him, and one daughter from 5 – 10 years old, and his wife, In 1860, Dustin was still farming in Sheffield, Vt. His farm was valued at $2,500, and he had additional personal property valued at $800. The two eldest boys were not listed in the census. Only wife Joanna (age 50), her son Alfred (age 24), and their 9 yr old daughter Clara. In 1870, Dustin (age 64, farmer), and his wife Joanna (age 62), were living in Manchester, NH with her son and family. When the 1880 census was taken, Dustin was 73 yrs. old and living with Johanna (age 70), in Manchester, NH. He was still living in Manchester in 1881. Children: 1. Clark, b. Vt., 1833. 2. Henry, b.
