Here's a note I have for Elizabeth Stephenson: Per Marlys Stinson.
--See "Shelby Co KY Marriage Bonds" in: "Kentucky Records--Early Wills and Marriages" by Mrs. WB Adery: p.137 "4 Apr 1796 Ewel Kendall & Elizabeth Stephenson. (Given in consent Stinson.) James Stephenson. Att. Wm Logan"
And here are my source notes on Ewell's parents: Thomas Kendall & Nancy Davis:
--See DK Mortorff book on Kendall Family pages 32 and 39: note 64: refers to "The Register of Overwharton Parish Stafford County Virginia 1723-1758 and Sundry Historical and Genealogical Notes" by George Harrison Sanford King, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 1961, pg 63, and Mortorff paraphrases: "Thomas Kendall became the oldest living child by virtue of his brother Jesse's dying in infancy. Thomas is believed to have lived for a period of time in Fauquier and removed to `Old' Jefferson County, Kentucky. While in Kentucky he lived in the counties of Jefferson, Shelby, Nelson, and Franklin where he died in 1814. He married a Nancy Davis and they had eleven children that can be identified, possibly 13."
--See ltr dtd 4 Oct 96 fm Marlys Stinson, 10484 N. Cortez, Delhi, CA 95315 w/ fgr's on Thomas Kendall family & descendants, connections w/ Harmon family &c. Marlys Stinson's info shows names of 9 of 12 children while Mortorff does not.
--See Hazel Kendall's "Kendall Genealogy" unpubl ms 1965 Madison Co Hist Soc, PO Box 523, Anderson, IN 46015, pg 32: "Thomas (son of William Kendall & Jamima Kirk) May 27, 1742 - Mar 2, 1804, Fayette Co PA (a notation says, `See bottom this page'"--but can't see any further info on this Thomas there).
--See Yates Co fgr dtd 2 Apr 1986 by Ailsie McEnteggart, 794 Vallambrosa Ave, Chico, CA 95926. She notes dau Jemima Kendall m. James McKinley 21 Feb 1789 Jefferson Co KY (Jefferson Co KY records) and dau Polly Kendall m. Joseph Gregory 17 Jun 1787 Jefferson Co KY (Jefferson Co KY records).
--FGR by Johnnie Belle Williams shows wife of Thomas Kendall as Margaret _____.
--Correspondent, Joe Kendall <joken6@juno.com> 538 Kibler, Newark OH 43055 in ltr 20 Aug 97 notes Thomas Kendall is his ancestor. Joe noted he wants more info before he is sure that Thomas Kendall is the oldest son of William Kendall/Jemima Kirk.
--Correspondent John Kendall <jhkesq@aol.com> sent msg 16 Feb 99 he is a descendant of this family thru TKendall/NDavis' dau Amy and son Yelverton.
--Marilyn K Schroeder <schroeder_m@crane.navy.mil> is a descendant per msg 14 Jun 2000.
