The Saint Charles (Illinois) Review, May 25, 1878

The largest patrons of (Cold Spring Creamery on the Sycamore road in Campton) are Ansel Lake, who carries 1,400 pounds per day; C.L. Probert, 1000 pounds; and O. Kendall, 900 pounds.

Postmaster Kendal, of Campton , or Canada Corners, is also, with his brothers, a patron of this creamery. Mr. A.O. Kendal has been the postmaster at Campton, during four and a half years, and the office has been steadily increasing in importance in all that time. A.O. Kendall & Bro's., is the name of the firm that supplies the Corners with all the groceries and necessaries of life. The company farm contains 100 acres and the old homestead 260 acres. The stock consists of fifty-eight cows and other cattle, besides horses and hogs. Mr. Kendal is republican in politics.
