Hi, Bonita:When I first started this adventure, I too thought Thornton was a son of Moses Kendall and his wife, Amy.However, when Moses died, Amy moved to North Carolina,
and Thornton settled there. Many researchers of this line now think Thornton was a son of Reuben. At any rate, his issue follows, with Jemima (Miss Carver not correct,):
Lewis, m. Nancy Combs, 1810Nelson, County, KY
James, m. Lucy Grigsby, 1810"""
Stephen m. Elizabeth Grigsby, 1817"""
Travis m. Nelly Jewell, 1818"""
Sanford, M. Emily Stark 1824Washington County, IN
Kezia m. William Stark, 1825"""
Jeremiah, m. Eliza Pro, 1831"""
There may be as many as three more unnamed sons; I have no record of Peter or William.I am of the opinion that Thornton died in Washington County, IN. some time after 1833, but I have no proof.Have you any idea? TTYLNI
