Had a look on the censuses for Mary Ann Twigg, why do you think this might be our Marie? Must admit I was intrigued when I found her on the 1891 census living with a family William Mason, his wife Elizabeth, and a Mary Ann Twigg Elizabeths' mother. The relationship of Mary Ann the younger to William was unclear, in the column it stated daughter of ? Twigg. This is certainly one person that doesn't want to be found easily.
I found out where Marie was buried but there is no headstone to give any hints as to when she was actually born.
Let me know if you come up with any more info.
