Hello: I can only assume you are looking for my grandfather George Robert James Kempster who came to Canada as a Barnardo boy in October 1906. He spent most of his early years in this country in Bruce County. After returning from serving with the Canadian Mounted Rifles in WWI, he settled in Woodstock Ontario where most of his Kempster descendants still live. Grandpa died in 1976. If you have a membership at ancestry.com, you can find my Kempster family tree. Also, if you are not aware, grandpa's brother Frederick Kempster was a famous "giant" standing nearly 8 feet tall. I have a biography of Frederick posted on the site "thetallestman.com" Just find Frederick's name in the left column, click it, and see all that I have uncovered about my great-uncle.
May I ask why you are interested in grandpa? We are a very small family, and have no Kempster relatives here. It was great to find your question. Hope to hear from you soon. Jim Kempster
