I go back to the Kempers through the Thompsons, Swopes,
and Burdetts. I also take care of the cemetery on Millcreek Road in Mason County where Joshua Burdett Kemper,NancyPepper and several others in this family are buried. I set a Revolutionary grave stone for James Thompson, first surveyor of Lincoln co.Va. this year in the Forks of Dix Cemetery. He was the father of Jemima Thompson, wife of Burdett Kemper. There were several marriages between the two families. James Thompson
was my fifth gr grandad.
