Hi -- my name is Walker Kemper and as best I know I'm the 5th with this name, although the first two had different middle names.
My father and grandfather and I all share the same middle name so my name suffix is III. My uncle's name was Charles Chowning Kemper and he passed away in 2004 -- my father is still alive at 84.
Both my father/grandfather grew up in Kentucky and I've twice been to the cemetary near Warsaw with several Kemper gravestones, including W. C. Kemper -- virtually certain my grandfather is buried in this same cemetary and he died in early 1970s --- I grew up in Indianapolis and am now 47.
20 years ago, I found an extensive Kemper geneaology in an an 1899 book in the Cincinnati Historical Society -- I'd expect some/all of you know about this book -- about 50 narrative pages with family history starting with Siegen/Musen in Rhine area of Germany and then Germanna colony in Virginia and much much more -- also maybe 100 pages of extremely detailed by person geneaology from ~1650-1900. I'd be happy to share a copy if interested.
I'd love to have copies of any family photos or other information that any of you have -- and I've also got some other fascinating Civil War Kemper material, although from different family branches.
