A biography of Simeon V. Kemper is included in "Progressive Men of the State of Montana". Parents: Thompson and Lucy A. (Smiley) Kemper, natives of Kentucky and Virginia. In 1881, Simeon married Miss Sally B. Shields, a native of Kentucky. They had four children.
