VIRDEN - Violet I. Kemper, 80, of Virden, formerly of Springfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at St. John's Hospice.
She was born May 18, 1926, in Girard, the daughter of Edward and Vivion Stead Perrine. She married George L. Kemper in 1949 in Springfield; he died in 2000.
Mrs. Kemper retired from St. John's Hospice in 1978. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church.
Survivors: two nephews, Paul Perrine of Virden and Loren Perrine of Divernon.
Cremation will be accorded by Springfield Crematory.
Graveside services: 11 a.m. Monday, Roselawn Memorial Park, the Rev. Brent Mitchell officiating.
Ellinger-Kunz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
