Hi Mark ,Thanks for the info.I have info that a James Kemp died 1867 age 36 ,father Richard ,Mother Elizabeth born Bath reg no 456(Vic Death cert)
I have James Haywood Kemp baptised at Bristol 2/10/1831,source IGI Kemp co16773 son of Richard and Elizabeth.
Richard and Elizabeth (Strange)were married in Bristol at Christ Church 26/4/1821,and according to the 1841census both 35,making them born 1806.
Not being familar with UK,I have them at Bath,Bradford on Avon & Keynsham. Two addresses are mentioned,Strange's Court Holloway, and 15 regents Terrace.
I also found that a James Kemp(miner)died in a mining accidentin Ballarat in 1867.It said that he was married, but does not mention wife or children.
In this tree from Bath are in order of baptism(doesnt show place of birth or year)from the Holloway address:reg ref DD/X/JK6 St. Thomas a Beckett parish Church,1824 Fanny Harriet,1826 William Richard,(missing James birth and baptism, approx b 1830,1831).From the regents Terrace address,1834 Mary Ann(1 going on 2, and Harriet Lucy,,1836 Elizabeth, and 1839 Robert William.
All imigrated to Port Phillip 1848 on the Andromache.
Robert William married Ellenor Matilda Rose in 1861,and 4 children there before moving to Sydney 1 more, then Goulburn, having 4 more.
I come from Robert William's line,so there are many lines in Australia to fill.Records show they moved from Victoria,,NSW,QLD,W.A.pos. SA.
Every time I think Im getting somewhere,I realise Im just starting!Regards John
