John Kemp (ca. 1831 - ?)

I have recently discovered that this is a line I have been stuck with for years. I actually discovered the connection through an old family story of my grandfather's visit to an aunt... Florence Dickman and her nephew, a Babson. I recently came upon some Babson genealogical information that finally tied it all together for me.
John A. Kemp and Joanna Holbrook had at least three children: Ellen "Ella" Marie 1852, Frank Warren 1854-7 and Florence B. 1855.
It would appear as though John A. Kemp and possibly Joanna, his wife, died before 1860 in MA. I am searching MA census records (Unindexed) for 1850 in hopes that I will find John A. and Joanna. They are not in Gloucester, Essex, MA. So far, I am almost half way through the Cambridge, Middlesex, MA census and have not yet seen them there. Those were my two real hopes.
Here is my info beginning with the "family story".
Clarence has an aunt, Florence B. Dickman b.1855 of Omaha, NE who died age 94 (1949) in Platte, NE. She had a nephew: Henry Babson or Bapson. Family said to be in shipbuilding. Clarence's father, Frank Warren Kemp b. in MA.

By 1870 both girls are married and my Frank W. Kemp has moved out of MA. I am not positive that the Frank living with Richard Edgar is my Frank but the age is about right. I also can see no obvious connection to Ganford Boyden for the girls but their ages and the fact that they are together imply that that is our Florence and Ellen. Perhaps the Boyden's are somehow related to the Kemps.
I am assuming that you have seen the Holbrook information, which seems well documented on the web.
I will continue to search through the 1850 MA census focusing on Middlesex county and praying that an Index appears soon. Hopefully, we will find John and Joanna in Middlesex in 1850, one year before their marriage.
If you have found anything new on this line... please let me know.
Thanks,
Martha
