William KEMPwas born February 19, 1826 at Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. He married there January 13, 1853.He died February 10, 1900.His parents were William KEMP born 1793 and Margaret Isabella MELDRUM, born August 19, 1793, daughter of James MELDRUM and Christianna.
William KEMP b Feb. 19, 1826 married Abigail HEBB who was born Dec. 7, 1826 at Beech Hill, Nova Scotia and died April 1, 1913.
Abigail HEBB is the daughter of Johannes HEBB born January 27 1801 at Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, married November 24, 1825, died June 30, 1858, and Anna Barbara WENTZELL born Sept. 9, 1799, died March 29, 1862.
William KEMP and Abigail HEBB had a daughter named Agnes Letitia KEMP, born September 29, 1855 at Beech Hill, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, married August 5, 1879 at Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, died April 1, 1928 at Quincy, Norfolk County, MAssachusetts. She married George Henry BURKETT who was born Dec. 17, 1846 at Waldoboro, Maine.
It is likely that your Charles KEMP is a brother of Agnes Letitia KEMP.I don't have a list of the children of William KEMP and Abigail HEBB, but I do have a photograph which includes William KEMP and his wife Abigail HEBB.
The KEMP and MELDRUM families were from Scotland, I have read.
The HEBB and WENTZELL families were part of the group of Foreign Protestants from Germany who settled at Halifax and Lunenburg in the 1750s.
