I realize your posting is a little old, but I have some info on the Gloucester KEMPS, at least one of them. Overton KEMP married Adaline Fary, had five daughters,
Josephine, Etheleen, Lelia Maude, Arrie, and Mary Columbus.
Mary Columbus, born 12/12/1869 married Thomas Mintie Thrift, another prominent family in early Gloucester, Va.
These were my husbands grandparents. They married in 1889
and had 12 children. According to the family tree I have, these two families were traced back to the settlement of
Gloucester in 1615 under the charter of John Smith. There
are other sites that will give you this information. I'd
like to know if these Kemps are the ones you are looking for.
