Dear Doug,In the Midland Kemp chapter, which you have a copy of in your possession, talks about a Nottingham branch briefly (page 14) but apparently they spent much of their time in London. In checking the index no further mention of Nottingham.
However, two pages on Lincoln but no mention of Woolsthorpe or Langar. It does state "Robert and Thomas were the favorite Christian names in this family".Do you have an email address or mailing address where I might send some of the Lincoln information? My book, now nearly 100 years old cannot be photocopied but did you know University Microfilms, located 300 North Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48106 sells photocopies of Frederick Hitchin-Kemp's book?
It mentions Thimbley and Hallgarth Manor House as homes . . Henry Kemp married Eleanor Panto in 1723 and had a son, Thomas
(also Robert, Michael)Thomas was baptized
circa 1725 and married in 1768.
In 1902 one of the living representatives was Rev. Edwin Richard Kemp, Chaplain and warden of St. Anne's Bede Houses, Lincoln and " many other Kemps Grimsby, Horncastle and other places within the county".
Greetings from Seattle!Cheers!James
