Hi John Paul,
I have a Hall family from Loughrea who moved to London in 1835. I have recently been in touch with a lady who has a John Kelly born Galway (Possibly Loughrea) in 1795. He married an Honora and came to south Australia in 1858. He had a son Patrick born 1838, Maria 1841 death certificate says born Loughrea and Ann 1843.
I think your Joseph Kelly and her John Kelly may be brothers. Do you know if the 18th Foot was in South Australia at any stage.
Regards
Robin
