My great grandmother Margaret (Maggie) Tew [nee Conner] was born in Dedham, Massachusetts on March 6, 1860. Her parents are listed on the birth record as Peter Conner and Mary (Kelly) Conner. I believe they are the same Peter Conner and Mary Conner who came from Ireland to New York aboard the packet ship Waterloo docking in N.Y. on July 2, 1851. I am looking for any information on Peter Conner and his wife Mary (Kelly) Conner both before they left Ireland and after they arrived in the U.S. in 1851. Family oral tradition says that Maggie's parents came from "Roscommon, Ireland" but I have no idea if this means Roscommon town or somewhere else in Co. Roscommon. Peter and Mary Kelly seem to have disappeared from the records in Massachusetts after the birth record for my great grandmother, but I understand my great grandmother had a sister "Katie." I'd appreciate and information or leads. Thank you!
