Dear Listers,

Just reporting on a new breakthrough. Our Kellys start with Joseph Kelly, the father of Michael Kelly who was born in Loughrea Ireland in 1836. Michael joined the 18th Regiment of Foot (later the Royal Irish Regiment) and served in Malta, Secunderabad India, England and Ireland. They had ten children of whom we have identified the following: Harold Constant(1864), Eugene Patrick (1865) Lucy Ellen (1866), Gerald (also known as George)(1867), Michael Joseph (1870), Louisa (1871), Harriet (1876), Edward (1878). After leaving the regiment in 1877, Michael took up a position with the Post Office in London. They lived at Mile End Old Town in London and later in Tottenham, Middlesex. Any information on this family appreciated.

God bless

John Paul
