William W. Kelly, son of Patrick and Bridget (Burke) Kelly, born in Ireland ca. 1865, came to US 1888 (per 1910 CT census). His brother, John B. Kelly owned a furniture factory in Gardner, MA and he brought all of his family over to the US from IRE. (John B. Kelly is my great grandfather). William then moved on to Hartford/New Britain, CT. William's uncle, Thomas Burke, also lived in Hartford, so that may be why he moved there. Regardless, William is in New Britain by the 1910 census.

William married Anna/Annie J. _____. They had three living children, all sons: William T., John J., and George. Census record hard to read, but I believe the 1910 census said William was a driver for the fire department. The 1920 census says he is a foreman (maybe fireman) at a "hdwe" (hardware?) factory.

Interested in finding out if any of William's descendants are searching for their Kelly roots and extended family. Contact me via email info on this forum.
