Hi Cousin:

My name is William Farrar. I'm a direct descendant of Henry Farrer of Ewood, including his grandson John Farrar and Sissley Kelke, via Their grandson William Farrar of Va, 1618.

I'm also the Farrar Farrow DNA project administrator at if you go there click on the link Pedigrees and see the pedigrees of some of us "Farrar's" (includes three surnames not Farrar, but whom we know or sure were either name changes or adoptions).

The haplogroup is Danish Viking, or Norman, as opposed to Norwegian Viking. The DNA was found in Uttoxeter (Staffordshire) and Faversham during the Capelli Census of DNA in the British Isles.

I've been delving into the English roots of the family, I've got a lot of data on the Lacy's (a line as illusive as the Farrar/Farrer's) and am very much interested in what you might have on the Kelke's and other information.

It is thrilling to have an opportunity to have a discussion with a Brit from the midlands, the "stomping grounds" of my ancestors apparently since 1070.

If you know of any Farrers who might be interested in joining the project, please send them over or contact me.

You can contact me via email, my address is visible, if you click on my name. I will send the same message to you via email as well.
