Still looking for information on this person. She can be found in the 1860 Shannon County, Missouri census as Ruthia Kelch (later years she is listed as Ruth Ann). She is living with the Hissom family: Levi 58, Jane 40, Joshua 28, William 26, Ruthia Kelch 14. Birth year might be 1946 instead of 1845, can't tell yet.
Does anyone have any information about the Kelchs and Hissoms in their line? I wondered if Jane Hissom might be a relative. Ruth's obit said she was orphaned when her mother died at age 11. I don't know how she got from Virginia to Missouri and I know of no siblings.
