In my initial post, i noted: 5. Presumed daughter (of George Fleming KEITH) Catherine M. KEITH ~ 1850: age 23, YOB = 1826 or 1827 ~ 1860: MIA (perhaps married and/or living apart or deceased) ~ 1870: MIA NOTE 1: There is a Catherine Keith listed in the SUMMARY (i can't access the details) of the 1880 Magnolia, Larue, Kentucky, census, shown as 'sister' to head of household, birthplace Kentucky, age should be about 53 and is shown as age 59 – about 4 years older – but the way ages flip around in this family, who knows?) NOTE 2: Somewhere i saw her mentioned as 'Kittie'; i need to go back to look for that. *** This is where i saw that (while searching for info on eldest son John Doniphan KEITH): http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?John,Doniphan::keith::6986.html >>>In the book "History of Kentucky" taken from ancestry .com there is a biography on Capt. Pendleton Farmer De Weese Keith son of John Doniphan Keith and Mary Ann (Marann)Holmes Keith. This article lists 11 children for George and Agnes Keith of whom John Doniphan Keith was the immediate ancestor, the others were Thomas, Alexander, Mary, Martha, Eliza, Kittie (Catherine), James, Frank, Anderson and Clay.<<< At present, i have no idea from what sources the book "History of Kentucky" gathered that data, but apart from using forms of the names which the family may have used (Thomas being George Thomas KEITH, Alexander being William Alexander KEITH, Eliza short for Elizabeth A. KEITH <<not to be confused with EZ/ZE, in 2nd post above>> Kittie for Catherine M. KEITH, Frank for Francis Edward KEITH, Clay for Henry Clay KEITH, and with Martha KEITH,James M. KEITHand Anderson D. KEITH using their 'real' first names). But who the heck is "Mary"? And what happened to Charlotte E. KEITH? And this makes no mention of a Charles M. KEITH. However, unless or until i learn the sources for the book, these seem to be open questions. Notify Administrator about this message?
