Valerie your more than welcome. We were both on the same page yesterday in that we found Mattie Agnes Keith Gallaspy's death certificate. Only I located it on Ancestry. I also located William Eastman (Easter) Gallaspy's WWI Draft Registration Record. William signed his middle name as Eastman not Easter. I think the "Easter" was a mistake on his death certificate.
Benjamin Keith Gallaspy born 3 May 1897, TX and died 17 October 1982, La Habra, Orange, California married Mildred Dickson b. abt 1912 TX. OneWorldTree (unknown submission) on ancestry states her name is Mildred Eugenia Dickson b. abt. 1912, parents David Edwin Dickson 1888-1964 (born TN) and Lura Winifred Bates 1892-1978
William E. Gallaspy b. 19 November 1873, Hamburg, Arkansas died 4 March 1958 Tarrant, TX his parents are listed as Theodore Y. Gallaspy b. 8 May 1844, Alabama died 23 February 1915, Ft. Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and Margaret E. Roach born 4 January 1852, London, England and died 22 November 1925 Franklin, Robertson, TX (I located a death record for Margaret E. Gallaspy who died 22 Feb. 1925 in Tarrant, TX.) (Source for parents of William E. Gallaspy came from "Thomas Allen and Frances Sublette" family tree janna23 owner on ancestry.com She also has William's sibling's listed.) Apparently the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ft. Worth, TX is where you'll find your Gallaspy ancestor's.
Mattie's mother's name Alice? Mattie had a sister named Eliza Alice and their mother was Eliza Jane...Ben probably thought his Aunt Eliza Alice had been named after his Grandmother, which she partially was.
