Oh... where do I start? Well, first of all, I am a Keith and from what I can tell, it looks like most of us here are distant cousins. Better that than nothing. As for my close relatives, we are living in the Texas Gulf Coast and Hill Country.
From reading the websites and forums, I am learning that our Keith heritage is one of great diversity, adversity and successes. It appears we are quite a RESILIENT group and old as heck.
I married and took my husbands last name but divorced many years ago. I plan to change my last name back to Keith before I get my master's degree. So wish me a speedy process because I am just 3 hours shy of my degree.
My daughter is attending her second year of college in the Fall here in Texas. It's my feeling that she has much to offer this world and will leave a big "green" footprint someday. She's majoring in Environmental Science so her footprint must be green.
I am searching for any and all heritage or otherwise scholarships. I found one for $350 on www.clankeithusa.org. You need to be a member and yearly dues are not TOO bad. Now this is a great start!
But, does anyone here know of any other "scholarship" leads for Keith's? I'm putting my child through school and am finding it's not always easy to find funding for that. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I have some old Keith family photos around here that need to be scanned before they fade away. Does anyone have a recommendation on who / where the best place to send them would be? I will include names and if possible dates. Some of these photos actually have writing on them.
