Charles,

My focus has been upon KEITH families in America, and in my records I keep information on the girls only through the generation of their children by a different name, and spouses of those children. But, since Elizabeth Keith TODD connects to my own line, I add a generation or two when it becomes known.

My ancestor, a David KEITH, was in Lincoln/Columbia Co., GA as early as 1782, and the only family connections I have found for him are a Samuel and a James, both of whom were in Jasper Co., GA in the very early 1800's, with James' son, also named James (Elizabeth's father), showing up in Meriwether County in the 1830's. Some of my KEITH family, and some of James' family went over to Chambers Co., AL in the 1840's...girls having married LASSETTER and GRESHAM. But, for the most part records telling of Elizabeth TODD's bunch would be in Gordon/Cass Co., GA., post-1839.
