Hello Keir,

I think we may be distant cousins.

My maternal grandmother was Jessie KEIR of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland (1879-1965); she was married to William Lumsden HEPBURN. She and my mother told me about her cousin, Jimmy KEIR (James Morrison KEIR), whom she was quite close to. I assumed he was her first or perhaps second cousin. Since she had so few relatives who also immigrated to the United States, I decided to trace James KEIR's ancestors and descendants. I found that they were fourth cousins. In the process, I also found his brother, William KEIR (wife's name Isobel); they had at least one child, a daughter named Marjorie Stafford KEIR, born 1917 in Cleveland, OH.

Could she be the Margie you seek?
