Hi Linda! Yes, I think you're right: we're related - I have the same information! I honestly don't know where my family got the "Nellie" part from - it must have been a little nickname. Unfortunately, my Dad never knew Maggie(she died young from trichinosis) or his paternal grandfather, but he grew up knowing Maggie's brother Ellwood and we all knew Aunt Mamie.

Do you have the info on Samuel, Francis' father from the census? Also, I have a couple old, old pics of granny Maggie, if you provide me your email I can send them to you so you can check them out. Any info you have would be great! This is cool, because Until I figured out Maggie wasn't really "Nellie", I didn't think I'd ever figue out my Dad's family line. Thanks! -- Kim
