We now have four Kehoe/Keough DNA results!

I posted this below as a follow up, but I want to put it out for all to see. Early testing is showing two distinct lines. The following results will mean little to those who don't know about DNA testing, but it may cause some interest.

The following are based on Family Tree DNA's (FTDNA) first 12 marker test. The markers tested are DYS 393,3903,19,391,385a,385b,426,388,439,389i,393,389ii

Kehoe Wicklow 13 24 14 12 11 14 12 12 12 12 13 28
Kehoe Wicklow na 23 na 11 11 14 12 12 12 12 13 28
Keough Cork 13 24 14 10 11 15 11 12 11 13 13 28
Kehoe Wexford 13 25 14 11 11 14 12 12 12 13 13 30

The two Kehoe Wicklow lines are most certainly related, if even distantly. They also show a more distant relationship to the Keough Cork line by way of marker DYS389ii=28. My line, Kehoe Wexford, matches up more with testers from north Connaght, Ulster and Scotland. As Bill Kehoe has posted, there seems to be two distinct lines, one originating in the south of Ireland and one (mine) originating in the north of Ireland.

I suggest joining the Ireland Heritage Y DNA Project from FTDNA, with the Project discount, you will pay $99.00 for a 12 marker test. No matter who you decide to test with, please put your reults on Ysearch! I will help you!

Thanks, Miles
