I'm searchng for information about my great-grandfather who was named Capt. Thomas Keeton - I don't have his date of birth or death.I'm the grand-daughter of James Oliver Keeton, born 11 Dec 1860, died 20 Mar 1932.My grandfather came, I believe from Kansas to Galveston, TX.He had a wife and children who he lost in the great Galveston flood/hurricane of 1900.He was also married once more and had a son named Charlie. He was divorced from Charlie's Mother when he met and married my Grandmother Lillian Belle Probandt.
I don't remember any great anuts and uncles. Not sure but I think he had both brothers and sisters. I believe that Capt. Thomas Keetons wife's name was Mary.I know that he was a ship captain and that he was a Master Mason.
I seem to be unable to find anything about either my grandfather or grandfathers family's
If you are related or not I would appreciate hearning from you.Keeton is not a very common name.I have cousins living in Califorina whom we have not kept in touch with and I'm hoping to find them.
By the way my father Richard Louis Keeton, had two brothers, Jim and Tom and two sisters who died as infants - one was Hellen and the other was Elizabeth.
