I'm interested in Joseph Keese (Keesee) who is listed in the 1850 census in Richland, Crawford County, Arkansas, living with his wife, Mary.

I think he died around 1854-1854. I find Mary remarried to John h. Worley in the 1860 census, also in Richland. Besides her children from her second marriage, there are two minor sons also living in the household, John James age 9 and Joseph A. age 7.

What I really need to find out is who is the father of Mary's daughter Joanna. Joanna was born March 1853. Was she Joseph Keesee's daughter or John Worley's? She doesn't appear in the 1860 or 1870 census with the Worley family. Mary Worley is living with her in 1900, but her maiden name is listed as Keesee in several of her children's marriage certificates.

If Joseph Keesee is indeed her father, where did he come from? There are no other Keesees in Crawford County in 1850. Did he come from the Saline County Keesees? Does anyone know Mary's maiden name? Does anyone have a marriage date for Joseph and Mary, or a death date for Joseph?
