I have about 20 pages from Edra's book which she mailed to me back in 1998, most of which were on a floppy. Most of those pages are about connections to the Dawson family -- she was trying to figure out who was Mahuldah Dawson who married Benjamin Keeran (formerly of Fulton Co, IL and Ohio before that) in Benton Co, MO during the 1840s. For those interested in this Dawson connection, I also have some info beyond what Edra was able to gather. My interest -- my ggg-gpa Henry A Dawson (of a different Dawson line) married 3rd to Mahuldah's sister Mary Dawson. His previous wife, my ggg-gma, was Sarah Keeran (Kearns) sister of Benjamin whom he married in Fulton Co, IL in 1835. So I am also a Keeran descendant.

Edra is now in her mid-80s so it would be great if someone could actually visit her and discuss the preservation of her work. I have not seen the book but a friend of mine got a good look at it in Salt Lake City and called it a "labor of love." I believe it's also available on microfilm through the FHC and possibly the real book from somewhere in the country through Inter-Library Loan.

Personally, rather than going through the effort and expense of a reprint, what I'd recommend is that we scan the entire book (using character-recognition software) and post it online. Then it would be readily available to everyone at no cost. I would be glad to host it on my own website. In fact I would be glad to try doing the scanning too. All we need is a copy of the book and Edra's permission. Anyone else interested or want to help in this endeavor?

Regards,
Dennis Miller

Sorry but I do not yet have a Keeran page on my website, although I do mention them on my Dawson page
