convict Keeps in Australia
I am interested to know about convict Keepsparticularly. The lists that I have looked at so far on the internet do not seem to gel with, say a death certificate that I havefor a Thomas Keep of Paterson NSW; died Maitland 1837 NSW at age 54 years.Certificate says he was transported on the "Glory" in 1818 & had a ticket of leave. Is there a website convict list relating to this man? or is there a regular web watcher also researching this person who already has the clues & details of this man?
I have only seen these following Keep people listed as convicts on lists. Is anyone able to claim one?
Elizabeth Keep:tried in London 1801, got 7 years & was transportedon "Nile" 1801.
John Keep: transported on "Mary" 1833 why? got cert offreedom 30/5/1840.
Richard Keep: tried in Surrey 1807, got 14 yrs & transported on "Admiral Gambier" 1808.
Sarah Keep: tried in Middlesex 1810, got 7 yrs & transported on "Friends" 1811 - got cert of freedom 6/10/1825.
William Keep: transported on "Clyde" at 35 yrs & got ticket of leave on Queen's birthday.
Any other Keeps seen or known of as convicts?
Annette
