Yes, any and all information about John or any other Keeney could easily have been confused, even though the years considered aren't even three centuries ago.However, a slightly older record than A. J. Keeney's (photocopies from this family Bible may be found at the Wyoming County Historical Soc'y) notes (if I remember correctly:I'm away from my own copies at the moment) John's birth as occurring in June of 1712.For reasons of scale, I'd go with that as our best guess yet.
