Mr & Mrs G M Keeny - Golden wedding aniversary

"Mr and Mrs. G.M. Keeny, 478 West Philadephia street, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. At noon yesterday a turkey dinner was served at Resser's restaurant and last evening a luncheon was partaken of at the Keeny home. The table was appropriately decorated in gold and white. There was an anniversary wedding cake decorated with 50 candles. Mr. Keeny is 71 years old and MRs. Keeny 69 years of age. John D. Baker, of Franklin Grove, Ill., a brother of Mrs. Keeny, sent a letter of congratulation and expressed regrets in not being able to attend the celebration.
A purse of gold was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Keeny by the member of their family. Many other gifts and flowers were received from friends.
Mrs. Keeny berfore her marriage was Miss Ann Baker, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. D.S. Baker of Abbottstown. The couple was married on December 31, 1882 by the late Rev. Peter Brown.

Keeny; Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Keeny, Charles Keeny, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Keeney, Dorothy Keeney, Mr. and Mrs. John Keeney, Mrs. Irene Keeney, Sarah Keeney, all of York."
