In Loving memory of
March 2, 1961 - May 14, 2009

Jo-ann was born in Smithers Hospital on March 2, 1961. She spent all of her years growing up in Terrace, B.C., where she finished highschool.
Jo-ann has an only son, Tommy James Munson, who was her pride and joy and who she loved with all of her heart. Jo-ann spent her years being a bartender at the Terrace Hotel and then moved on to Prince George to get her licence for hairdressing and esthetician.
She married Joe Keeler on July 1st, 2000. Jo-ann suffered with rheumatoid arthritis and emphesema but all through the pain she created the most positive surroundings for herself and loved ones.
She struggled so hard in the end, for she was to be a grandmother for the first time. Tommy and Emily are having a baby, which was her greatest happiness.
Jo-ann left behind her two dogs, Trista and Trey with who she treated like children. Trista and Trey are now being cared for by me.
Jo-ann - You will be forever missed and you are forever loved, my heart and soul are with you,
until we are together again.
Love, Mom, Tommy (Emily), Shawn, Noel, Tyler and many family and friends.

Jo-ann is survived by her beloved parents John and Ellen New; her cherished son Tommy Munson (Emily); beloved brothers Shawn (Jackie), and Noel New (Onyhna); loving nephews and nieces, Tyler New, Terrance Reid, Vanessa Reid, Sydney England and Gracie Noel; many aunts, uncles, and cousins will miss this precious lady, she was loved by all. She will be missed by dog pals Trey and Trista.
Predeceased by her adoring grandparents Art and Minnie Mould, Uncle Ronnie Mould, Uncle Al, cousin Harry and family members that have gone before her. She is once again with her beloved pet dog (Jacko). Pallbearers: Uncle Bunky, Uncle Butch, Uncle Jerry, Bonner, Mike, Wayne; Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Popoff, Johnny McDonaugh, Doug Chisolm.
“I’ll lend you for a little time
A child of mine,” He said
“For you to love the while she lives,
And mourn for when she’s dead
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call her back
Take care of her for me?
She’ll bring you charms to gladden you,
And should her stay be brief
You’ll have lovely memories
As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay.
Since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn
I’ve looked this wide world over
In my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that
crowd life’s lanes
I have selected you;
Now will you give her all your love,
Nor think the labour vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call
And take her back again?
I fancied that I heard them say,
“Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
For the risk of grief we’ll run.
We’ll shelter her with tenderness,
We’ll love her while we may,
and for the happiness we’ve known,
Forever grateful stay.
But should the Angels call for her
Much sooner than we planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand.
