Keegan Family Genealogy Forum

Patrick, Thanks for the email. I have learned that some of my previous info was incorrect. It turns out that my great grandfather John Keegan and his wife Bridget Cull came here from Drumshambo in 1882. He landed in Thomaston Connecticut and I recently discovered his grave site and original home. He had 5 children, some stayed in Connecticut and others moved to Boston. My grandfather was on of the ones who moved to Boston.
Long ago, 20 yeats in fact I visited Drumbshambo and found only two surviving Keegans. One was a gentlemen who had a bad accident and was severly mentally impaired, thus of no help. The other was a elderly women who was out of town..she never followed up on a note I left behind. The local church claimed birth records were destroyed in a fire. So I found little info.
I have reasonable good info on my grandfather after he got here...but nothng about possible sisters or brothers that may have followed later. Your Elizabeth would have been of the age of my grand father..so it appears that your great grand father never came over here.??Is that correct? Perhaps there is a connection between our families??? Hard to know..do you have any other info regarding Thomas Keegan and possible siblings? Thanks.
