Anne Keefe was married to Thomas O'Rorke and he was a stone mason by trade. I believe they lived in the small township of Boyle, Roscommon. Looking at the Griffiths valuation surveyed in Roscommon around 1858: 1. DAVID KEEFE (Brother to Anne? probably) lived in the Townalnd of Mocmoyne and lived in Chappel Lane in Boyle. Mocmoyne and the Townland Termon is where Thomas O'Rorke lived is a very short distance across the river Shannon 2. MICHAEL KEEFE (Brother ?) lived in the Townland of Knockhall and the Parish of Kilglass (very close on maps) 3. MICHAEL EARLY (a brother or uncle of Mary Early who married James Rorke in Edinburgh in 1864) lived also in Termon Boyle Town in quarry Lanes Parish of Boyle. I speculate that these three men ran a business to do with stone masons work and lived in or on the quarries needed for their work.. I have two other Keefes close by but cannot link them at the moment. I have tried to contact Sarah Allen but her email address does not work. My emal address is Vicannbrownell@hotmail.com leaving out the Vic. I do not have any info on the Keefe's in the States but I think the Rhode Island family may be directly related from family movments a long time ago as an old aunt used to visit Rode Island in the 1930's, 1950's.
