You list the family of Joseph and Mary Anne Keedwell, all born between 1832 and 1850. Then you refer to Robert Keedwell who decided to stay in England. Am I right in thinking he was the brother of Mary Anne, William, Steven etc?
If so, he is probably Robert Keedwell, 46 years old at the time of the 1881 census. He is recorded as a schoolmaster, born in Bristol, but living with his wife and eight children and sister-in-law in Llanllwchaiarn, Montgomery, Wales.
By Keedwell standards Robert was also an emigrant. Nineteenth century Keedwells didn't move very far unless to NZ, Canada etc. Almost all of them remained in a very tight cluster of families around Bristol.
I know quite a lot about British based Keedwells but would be interested in those who emigrated.
