Yes,

James Key is my 4th great grandfather and I am from his son John's line. My mother is from Jackson Co., MO. I have been to Pleasant Garden Cem., where James Key and John are buried three years ago (my first and only visit).

My reason for posting this query is to try to establish a possible connection between my mother and father's families from an earlier time. I have Kee / Key's on both sides and possibly there is a connection in TN, VA, NC.

The linch-pin would be John Key III, b: 1731, Albemarle, VA (location of James Key Daniel's family on my mother's side) d: Wake Co., NC (location of Key / Kee on my father's side). The Wake Co., Kee / Key family migrated to Carroll Co., TN and had name changes from Key to Kee, so-forth and so-on. VERY CONFUSING!

Happy to share any info on James Key and John Daniel - have pix from cemetery.

Jim
