This man appears in most written history as L.Dwight Kee or simply Dwight Kee. He was an officer in the 105th Ohio Regiment and died at the battle of Perryville on 8 Oct. 1862. Dwight was a teacher and possibly also became a lawyer. He taught in the Harrington Select School in Greene Twp., Trumbull Cty. I believe he was the son of IRA & LUCINDA KEE and his siblings were: Sarah A., Lydia H. and Henry. An Ira Kee family settled in Greene Twp., in Trumbull Cty. in 1822. I do not know if this was Dwight's family. In 1850 the family of Ira & Lucinda Kee were living in Colebrook Twp., in Ashtabula Cty. In 1874 an Ira Kee owned land on the far western edge of Wayne Twp., in Ashtabula Cty. Dwight Kee (as did his brother Henry Kee) purchased land in McLeod Cty. in Minnesota in 1859. I am trying to develop information about Dwight Kee. Many from southern Ashtabula Cty and northern Trumbull Cty Ohio came to Minnesota in the 1850's and 1860's. Until recently - I was unaware that the Kee brothers also came here. I am trying to find anyone who has information about this Kee family. Thank you.
