On the 1830 US census, I found this entry:
115 Ridgewood Ave, Joliet, Illinois
Edwards, Samuel M. Head 41, age at marriage 24, Born England, Parents born England, Emigrated 1923, Tender in Steel Mill
Edwards Jane Wife 41 Born England, Parents Born England
Edwards Vincent Son 12 Born England, Parents Born England
Edwards, Frances Dau 8 Born Illinos, Parents born England
On the Ellis Island Web site there is a record for Samuel, Jane and Vincent arriving in New York on September 5, 1923 on the ship Olympic from Southampton. They were headed for Samuel's sister, Mrs. Sarah Jeffrey, Braidwood, Illinois.

On the 1901 census for England is the following family. I believe this is your Jane.

I can't find a birth cert record for Jane but there is one listed for Sampson December q 1887 Walsall 6b-607. You can order the cert on line from:
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/
This will give you Mary's maiden name.
You would need to find the marrage cert for Samuel and Jane in order to confirm that Jane's father is William.
