Some new information I have discovered.
This is part of the "Missouri Line" that migrated to Greene County Missouri during the 1850 - 1860's.
My Grandfather is William L. Keatts, married to Kawanna Wassalea Hendrickson. I have found a wealth of information on the Hendrickson line and it goes back pretty far.
My Great Grandfather is William Jefferson Keatts, who married Flora Mable Conrad. He was born in Greene County Missouri with most of his Siblings. I also found an Obituary stating that Flora Mable's parents were George W. Conrad and Laura T. "Conrad". Unfortunately I can find nothing else about her parents. I suspect they were living in Christian County Missouri, but I am not sure since I can find neither hide nor hair of any census records relating to them.
My Great Great Grandfather is William Curtis Dennis Keatts born in Pittsylvania Co. Virginia. He was married to Edney A Farmer who also has a fairly complete genealogical record. What I want to discover is how William C. D. Keatts died. I noticed that he died shortly after my Great Grandfather was born, conspicuously in 1862. The civil war was raging at the time, and greene county was a hotbed of activity. I can find no historical information, or record of his service, but I cannot find a death certificate for him either. Does anyone have this information?
Any help would be excellent!
