Hi!
While looking for any input on my g-grandfather's second wife, Mary Phylenah Kator, I came across your posting & felt I should let you know that Esopus is the township next to Kingston (across the Rondout, I believe). The town clerk is located in the village of Port Ewen.

Phylenah (as she was called) married David Horton Polhamus in about 1892. (His first wife died in 1891.) David was born & raised in Esopus. Phylenah was born 9-1-1850 & died 1-28-1916, at age 65. (This information is from her tombstone in Lloyd Cemetery, where they're both buried.)

Any ideas on her family?

Thanks.
Edie Polhamus
