Valerie Elizabeth Keating
Valerie Elizabeth Keating of St. Charles A funeral service to celebrate the life of Valerie Elizabeth Keating, 25, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Christ Community Church, 37W100 Bolcum Road, St. Charles, with Rev. Ron Roetman officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, St. Charles. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St. (three blocks west of the Fox River, one block south of Route 64), St. Charles. Born Jan. 31, 1983, in Maywood, Ill., the daughter of Albert and Rose (nee Horner) Keating, she died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. She was a graduate of St. Charles East Special Education Program and currently participated in the day program at Marklund Hyde Center. Val was a special young lady who so enjoyed time at home, visiting friends and family, trips to the zoo and all things Disney! She was truly a gift to her family and to those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, Albert and Rose, Valerie is survived by her sister, Rachel (Jeffrey) Brooke of Wheaton; her brother, Matthew Keating of St. Charles; and her grandmother, Rose Horner of Lemont. Val was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Glenn Horner; and her paternal grandparents, Albert H. And Helen Keating.
