Hi Sonovia,
I am tracing my family tree and the Kearse name is my Grandmas maiden name. Her family is from Denmark, South Carolina which is in Bamberg County. My great great grandpa was Frank KEarse. He married Eliza Rice. Their children were James Kearse, John Morse Kearse ( my Great Grandpa) and Elijah Kearse. I do not know if there were more children. I can tell you that John Kearse married Zula Hays( or Sease which is her step dads name) Elijah married Maggie Hays( Zula and maggie are half sisters). I do not know who James married though. John and Zula children were Mozelle ( Aunt Shug, still living) Elease(Aunt Sister, still living)Zula ( Dolly, my grandma still living)all from Dnemark South Carolina. Mozelle (aunt Shug ) is still there. She married a Banks. If these names sound familiar let me know.
Take care,
Carolyn
