1968 North Carolina obituary: Mrs. Florence Velon Kearns, 62, wid of Earl Kearns

The following obituary just happened to be on the same page as the obit of one of my wife's uncles.

NOTE: We are NOT related to the following and have NO additional informantion.

Mrs. Earl Kearns
Is Dead At 62

Mrs. Florence Velon (Peggy)
Kearns, 62, of 602 Denny St.,
widow of Earl Kearns, died at
10 p.m. Wednesday in High
Point Memorial Hospital. She
had been in declining health
several years and a patient in
the hospital fours weeks.
Mrs. Kearns was born in Ran-
dolph County March 25, 1905,
a daugher of Isaac Franklin
and Annie Lassiter Kearns. In
1926 she was married to Earl
Kerns, who died Jan 10, 1960.
She had been a resident of High
Point since 1926, comming here
from Randolph County. She
taught school in Randolph and
Montgomery counties and was
a former employee of Adams-
Mills Corp. She was a member
of Wesley Memorial Methodist
Church.
Surviving are one daughter,
Mrs. Wima Lain of 404 Shady
Lane, three grandchildren; and
one sister, Mrs. Earl Shaw of
Asheboro.
Funeral arrangements are in-
complete. The body is at Se-
chrest Funeral Home, and the
family will be at the home of
the daughter, Mrs. Wilma Lain,
404 Shady Lane.
